I dont have a lot of vibrating toys to compare to, so i dont know if its louder then average or not, but i bought this after my fiance broke her Doc Jonson pocket rocket and there is a BIG difference between the two. First off, ponny up the cash and get a Doc Johnson pocket rocket. They may look the same but they are not. The Doc is much quiter and my fiancee didn’t mind using it when other people were in the house at all because it was so silent. This is loud. We used the Doc Johnson pocket rocket 99% of the time when we had sex, and it was great for both of us. We have used this only a couple of times due to sound, both because of other people and just because she doesnt really want to hear a buzzing when we are doing it, even when we are alone, and it really is annoying. The Doc Johnson is the best/most used toy i have ever bought and i am going to buy another one shortly to replace this piece of junk.
